Globe & Mail: Hamas Commander’s Death An IDF “Targeted Killing”

Posted by: Honest Reporting Posted Date: 09/21/2010

In an article entitled “Hamas member’s killing flies under Israeli public’s radar”, Globe & Mail Correspondent Patrick Martin spins the death of Hamas Commander Lyad Shilbayeh in an IDF arrest raid as a “targeted killing” and suggests the operation was timed on the eve of Yom Kippur to keep it under the Israeli public’s radar. Does Mr. Martin offer any evidence to support these claims? Not a shred.

We asked the Globe & Mail if they could provide any evidence or attribution to support their Middle-East correspondent’s contentions. You can ask Patrick Martin directly yourself: pmartin@globeandmail.com
