- Ottawa Citizen, March 20 2008: Apology - According to a Citizen editor: “Thank you for your email. The error was a human one. The news brief immediately above the one you have noted was about a story in Somalia, but the geographic locator had been entered as “Mogadishu.” The copy editor intended to change that to “Somalia” but inadvertently changed the geographic locator on the subsequent story, which obviously dealt with a matter in the Palestinian territories. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention."
- CTV News, Sept 11 2007: CTV news reported yesterday that: “Palestinian militants launched a rocket at an Israeli army base in Gaza early this morning. At least 69 soldiers were injured in the attack.” Contrary to this statement, the Zikim base is located in the northwestern Negev desert in southern Israel, not in the Gaza Strip. A senior producer of CTV News apologized for the error and removed the report from the CTV website.
- CBC, Jan 21 2006: "CBC incorrectly reported that an academic conference took place in Jerusalem, in fact, the conference took place in Herziliya." Online story updated.
