Mike Fegelman, Executive Director
A graduate of Carleton University’s renowned journalism program, Mike specialized in broadcasting and international reporting. An eight-year veteran of the Canadian journalism industry, Mike was a former editor-in-chief, reporter, and anchor of various news programs and publications. Mike brings a marketing savvy to HRC having been a project manager for the market research firm Canmark Technologies for over six years.
Mike is the Editor-in-Chief of HRC and is responsible for the day to day running of the organization, its financial management and project development. Mike’s focus is on delivering efficiency and professionalism as HRC moves into new technological and geographical spheres that include the expansion of our media monitoring services to French Canada with the launch of our Montreal office in April 2008.
Michelle Whiteman, Quebec Regional Director
Michelle directs HonestReporting Canada’s operations in Quebec. A native Montrealer, Michelle is a graduate of l’Universite de Sherbrooke and Queen’s University law schools where she earned civil and common law degrees. Michelle is a member of the Ontario bar and an experienced French-English translator who brings a critical legal perspective on issues in the Middle East to HRC.
Michelle liases with the French media, oversees our French monitoring unit, and helps grow HonestReporting in Montreal, French Canada, and nationally. Michelle is also the editor of HonestReporting Canada’s weblog Headlines and Deadlines and is responsible for assisting HRC’s Executive Director in the day to day running of the organization, its financial management and project development.
