I don't see how you can compare the Berlin Wall with Israel's wall. The former was built to prevent East Germany's citicens from escaping to West Germany, while the other was meant to stem the loss of life from the Infantada. In that regard, it's been successful. I hate to break it to the CBC, but war isn't social work; not even for Israel.

I was astounded to read that CBC in four separate instances tried to compare the Berlin Wall with the protection barrier built by Israel to protect themselves against ongoing suicide and other terrorist attacks which were killing innocent Israelis. This comparison is offensive in the extreme to this reader, and an insult to all who refuse to surrender to terrorism. Are acts like we just witnessed at Fort Hood not enough to demonstrate the difference? Such comparisons merely embolden terrorism and weaken the West against it. I would think you would recognize the irresponsibility of printing such defamatory and false comparisons. If you are going to print such nonsense, it would only be fair and reasonable to expect that you would show graphic evidence from the days before the barrier, some of the scenes of blown up buses filled with innocent children and others. Almost daily attacks on restaurants and cafes. Would you tolerate these things in Canada? I didn't think so. Please show both sides of an issue or none at all if you are not capable of unbiased reporting. Lawrence Moskowitz United States Of America
